We in the SCDWC are so honored and excited to be hosting the National Federation’s Annual Convention in South Carolina June 9-12, 2016 at the beautiful Francis Marion hotel in downtown Charleston. Our convention’s theme this year is “Making Her Story History, Celebrating 45 years of Democratic Women in Politics”.
Calling all South Carolina Democratic women to attend. Three days of fabulous Democratic speakers (Rep. Jim Clyburn, Rep. Marlon Kimpson, and Rep. Mary Tinkler to name a few), the opportunity to network with Democratic women from around the country, to make new friends and renew old friendships, and of course to enjoy Charleston in all its glory –food, fun, shopping. Ya’ll gotta come!
To register for the convention on line just go to NFDW.org and follow the links to the convention web page. Special lower rates are available for South Carolina women. You may attend for a day, or two, or for the entire weekend. We also need your help volunteering. There’s lots to do to welcome our guests to the Holy City. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Jane Pulling at email@example.com or 843-209-3505.
Women in Democratic leadership positions from all over the country will attend. We are also asking you to help support this convention and our South Carolina Democratic Women by purchasing an ad in our program book. The benefits of advertising in our program include national exposure for you as well as support for our organization and recognition within the South Carolina Democratic community. Perhaps you’d like to honor Democratic women you know in your district who’ve served in groundbreaking roles.
